A new arcade game in Japan; Metal Gear will allow full 3D, the game will use 3D goggles to implement 3D.

Unlike 3D glasses at the theater which are disposable these 3D glass are not, they will be re used by countless people daily.The reason a greater fear exists with goggles being contaminated and spreading disease due to the fact the your eyes and nose are much more vulnerable to transmitting disease then other parts of your body.

If you go to arcades do you care if something is cleaned regularly, and would you use these 3D goggles?

The adapter pictured is called “Torne”

The DVR function will not work in the US; but hopefully the US will get its own version soon, since Europe has had the DVR for the Ps3 since 2008. The cost for the Japanese DVR “Torne” will be around $110 US.

Chaos ensued in Tokyo’s Akihabara ‘geek district’ last month with the launch of Final Fantasy XIII, the first Playstation 3 instalment of Square Enix’s series.

Hordes of RPG-obsessed Japanese flooded electronics stores across the country in an attempt to pick up a copy of the game. Huge queues gathered outside the major game shops in Tokyo, with more than 300 people queuing in Akihabara at one point.

Advertising for the game has been slowly building up over the last month with major train stations in Tokyo now decorated with massive prints of the game’s characters. Akihabara itself has a huge banner draped over one of its most famous game stores, with nearly every shop home to a megaphone-touting salesperson pushing Final Fantasy deals.

Alongside the release of Final Fantasy XIII was a limited edition white 250 GB PS3 console. These consoles have instantly become rarities across Japan with massive bundle sales on the first day of release. The game sold more than 1.8 million copies prior to release and is rumoured to have sold more than 1 million more in bundles and copies on its first day of sale.

The game itself has received rave reviews across the Japanese gaming community and has set unprecedented sales for the already popular console. With around 4 million PS3 units sold in Japan, Final Fantasy XIII is now owned by more than 30 per cent of the PS3 owners. Sales of the Playstation 3 itself have increased by nearly 100,000.

Japanese Xbox owners are less fortunate. They will have to wait for the release of the game on their console.

Final Fantasy XIII will be released in Europe on March 9th 2010 on both PS3 and Xbox 360.

In 2007, Jennifer Strange was one of several participants KDND’s “Hold Your Wee For A Wii” contest, in which participants held their urine and drank copious amounts of water with the hopes of wining a Nintendo Wii video game console.

Strange, who came in second place and received a consolation prize of local concert tickets, began complaining of an upset stomach and a headache toward the end of the contest. She was later found dead by a relative in her home.

During the contest, the station received at least one phone call from a woman claiming to be a nurse, warning the morning show DJs at KDND that drinking large amounts of water was dangerous. The DJs laughed the concern off, stating that participants had signed waivers releasing the station from any liability.

The death of Strange led to the firings of several involved with the morning show contest by Entercom Communications.

The family of radio station contestant Jennifer Strange was awarded $16,577,118 after a jury concluded Entercom Sacramento, who operates KDND 107.9 “The End,” was negligent after ignoring several warnings that a morning show contest could have fatal consequences.
