The Wii has finally reached the long awaited benchmark of 10 million units sold, which took it 3 years and 3 months to reach.
The figure was reported by Famitsu.com which sourced the information from its parent company Enterbrain. The current record holder for fastest 10 million domestic ( Japan) units sold is the PS2 which sold 10 million units in 2 years and 7 months, but the Wii holds the title for fastest domestic unit sales of 5 million. Both Ps2 and Wii are put to shame by the DS which sold 10 million units in only 1 year and 8 months.
