PS3 Final Fantasy XIII sales doubled over Xbox 360’s

Not a surprise that PS3 beat Xbox360 for Final Fantasy XIII sales, but I still didn’t think the difference in sales would be this great;
First month figures for Final Fantasy XIII are in, with the North American version of Square Enix’s role-playing game epic moving more than 1.3 million copies in the United States. The vast majority of those were on the PlayStation 3.
According to an early statement from Sony Computer Entertainment, the PS3 version of Final Fantasy XIII “sold nearly double the Xbox version.” In actual numbers, that broke down to 828,200 copies of the game snapped up by those in the Sony camp and 494,300 who preferred the Xbox 360 version. A win for Sony, but also a good showing for Microsoft, who snatched console exclusivity from the PlayStation side in 2008.

It’s important to keep in mind that for a long time now, Final Fantasy fans have had to buy Playstation consoles in order to play the games. It’s no surprise that there’s still a much bigger fan base on that side of the fence even now that the franchise has been unchained.
still pretty impressive numbers by xbox 360 considering the Final Fantasy series is a playstation exclusive. Square-enix loves money more than loyalty. I see the Final Fantasy Versus XIII and other FF games will also be released on the 360.
