Bakemonogatari beats K-On! easily in Blu- Ray sales

The fourth volume of Bakemonogatari has sold an astonishing 48,000 copies in its first week, shattering K-On! which sold a mere 31,000 copies for its 7th blu-ray disk release.
Bakemonogatari is now the number one selling anime blu-ray ever released;and close to being the most sold anime blu-ray disc, only behind Evangelion 1.1:You Are Not Alone by 1,000 copies.
Can’t say am suprised about the sales Bakemonogatari has been beating K-On! in sales for quit a while now.
